RESCUE LIVES
World Help’s rescue program seeks to rescue, treat, and restore children suffering from the effects of dirty water, malnutrition, and poverty.
Our strategy is to invest in sustainable transformation by providing impoverished communities with long-term care facilities and state-of-the-art medical and rehabilitation programs in some of the most poverty-stricken areas around the globe.
GUATEMALA
The rural mountain communities of Guatemala are home to some of the world’s most severely malnourished children. Critically ill children are rescued and transported to the Baby Rescue Center for immediate medical intervention until they are healthy enough to return home. Family members of the child are trained in proper sanitation and hygiene helping to prevent illnesses in the future. Continued long-term care is provided for children who are left with permanent mental and/or physical limitations.
HAITI
For decades, Haitians have struggled with the effects of poverty that have characterized their country as the poorest in the Western Hemisphere. This program, located in northern Haiti, is a beacon of hope for the entire community. Through a state-of-the-art medical clinic, the campus is a refuge for children in need of urgent and long-term medical care.
UGANDA
The slums of Uganda are home to millions of orphaned and abandoned children. Half of the population of the country is under the age of 14. The program is located on the outskirts of the Kampala slums and has become a refuge for orphaned babies usually abandoned by teen mothers who have themselves been victimized.
