When a young woman finds herself trapped in a life of sexual slavery, it can be difficult — nearly impossible — for her to escape.
But you can help. You can give a girl in Thailand or India the tools she needs to thrive outside the sex industry … resources we take for granted, such as an education, spiritual guidance, and a loving environment.
The injustice of sex slavery is that it robs women of choices for their future. But you can change that by getting involved. The opportunities for you to make a difference are endless … never doubt that you have the power to change a life!
Here are five key ways that you can take a stand for a girl trapped in the sex industry:
We serve a mighty God who knows every person by name. He loves and cares for each of these girls — even more than we do.
As you pray for women trapped in the sex industry, here are a few specific needs:
• Pray for the Gospel to spread and for the people within these communities — sex workers and others — to accept Christ as their Savior.
• Pray for our partners on the ground who are ministering to these women.
• Pray for passionate individuals here in the U.S. to get involved.
• Pray for cultural attitudes to shift so women can begin to have more educational opportunities.
2. Stay Informed
Learning more about the issues surrounding the sex industry is the first step to being part of the solution. It can be difficult to speak out against injustice if you don’t truly understand the nature of the injustice.
But we’ve got you covered. Here are some great resources you can use to learn more about sexual slavery and how you can help:
World Help Vice President Noel Yeatts is incredibly passionate about freedom initiatives. In several podcasts, she dives deeper into the problems that perpetuate the industry.
• Freedom films
Watch this short film to learn more about how girls in the Banchara tribe of India have been exploited by a 500-year-old tradition of child prostitution. You also can discover here how poverty has robbed countless girls in Thailand of their freedom.

3. Say something
You can’t help enact change if you don’t know there’s a problem — and the sex industry thrives in the shadows.
Most people are unaware of the suffering these women face. You have an incredible opportunity to speak up and share their stories … so everyone can get involved.
Talk to a friend over coffee, share a post on social media, or even speak at your church. There are so many ways you can use your voice to raise awareness!
4. Wear your commitment
Show the world your passion for freedom by wearing one of our custom “Freedom” T-shirts!
This tangible reminder of your commitment is a great way to start conversations with friends.
Make sure you scroll to the bottom of the page to select your T-shirt size.
Perhaps the most impactful way you can make a difference is through giving toward our Freedom projects. Your gift will give girls a second chance … education opportunities … hope.
You also can participate in Freedom Friday on May 19 by taking a one-night stand for freedom.
Join men and women around the country by giving up one night of entertainment and giving that money instead to help one girl escape a life in the sex industry. You’ll use your usual Friday night plans for the sake of a cause much greater — freedom.
There is a battle raging for freedom right now in Thailand and India — but you can make a difference by standing in the gap.
You have the power to do something that will impact a Thai or Banchara girl for eternity. It’s her freedom … but this is our fight.
How will you choose to get involved today?
