February 2014 World Help Blogger Resources

Rescue Homes in Uganda

This month, we will again be focusing on the Rescue Homes initiative in Uganda, particularly Phase 2 of the project. Our goal is to finish the construction and outfitting of a third home—which will provide long-term care for 10 orphaned children—before moving onto Phase 3. And we have a pretty neat fundraising idea.

Valentine’s Day is right around the corner and we think it’s a great opportunity to show love in a brand new way. What if, instead of (or in addition to) roses and chocolate, we invited others to give in a way that would impact lives?

This month, World Help is offering our supporters the chance to send a personalized e-card to a loved one when they give any amount to the Rescue Homes project. It’s a Valentine’s Day card that will change lives! Think about that.

We’re partnering to rescue and restore children in Uganda by building on the legacy of love. Every brick of the Rescue Homes project will be an outpouring of hundreds of voices saying, “I love you.”

This month, invite your readers to say “I love you” in a new way. Tell them about the 11 million children in the slums of Uganda who need to feel those 3 life-changing words. Help them see the actualization of their investment by sharing the stories our team told from the field in January.

But there’s only two weeks in February before Valentine’s Day, right? In the remaining two weeks, let’s continue to build on the foundation we lay on the big day. World Help will offer non-Valentine’s Day themed e-cards after the 14th.

As always, our monthly resources include banners, buttons, and images that we pray capture the attention of your readers. Maximize these to their full potential, and don’t hesitate to suggest additional resources you feel may be beneficial.

Campaign links, links to stories, access to campaign media, downloadable banners, a facebook timeline photo, and a photo pack for you to use throughout the month as you blog.
