Jel is a friendly young boy who enjoys going to nursery school and playing with other boys and girls. He loves to talk and learn new nursery rhymes in class, and he can often be found playing with toys. Jel has faced many hard transitions in his life. His parents divorced in 2015, and his mother almost immediately remarried, leaving Jel in the care of his father. Since her fathers right hand is paralyzed, he struggles to find reliable work and cannot earn enough to provide for his sons basic needs. Sponsorship now gives Jel access to things like a quality education and nutritious meals.

Why sponsor a child?
“Child sponsorship is very rewarding because you know you're making a difference for that child. But the blessing you will receive far surpasses even the difference you make in the children's lives. You will see God at work!”
— Lita, Kentucky
“Sponsoring two little girls from Guatemala has changed the way I see life. As Christ-followers, we are called to love God and love others. I believe that we love God through loving others, and child sponsorship gives us the opportunity to do that.”
— Kayla, Virginia
“I believe child sponsorship is a way to touch the future. It's important to invest in the next generation, both here and around the world.”
— Margaret, California
