Although she is a shy girl, Alina enjoys making friends and spends a lot of her time playing games with them. She also enjoys her time in school, where she can learn new things and recite rhymes with her classmates. One day, Alina hopes to become a nurse and help sick people feel better. Alina?s life has been full of tragedy. Her father used to transport people on a bike, but a woman fell off and died, and he had to give all his money to her family. He then took a job as a laborer, but injured his legs and hips, making it difficult for him to work. Sponsorship now gives Alina access to things like a quality education, nutritious meals, and basic medical care.

Why sponsor a child?
“Child sponsorship is very rewarding because you know you're making a difference for that child. But the blessing you will receive far surpasses even the difference you make in the children's lives. You will see God at work!”
— Lita, Kentucky
“Sponsoring two little girls from Guatemala has changed the way I see life. As Christ-followers, we are called to love God and love others. I believe that we love God through loving others, and child sponsorship gives us the opportunity to do that.”
— Kayla, Virginia
“I believe child sponsorship is a way to touch the future. It's important to invest in the next generation, both here and around the world.”
— Margaret, California
