Christmas in Nepal

Christmas in Nepal is celebrated with many of the same traditions that we in America enjoy. Gifts are exchanged and families and friends gather together in fellowship and celebration. It is also one of the best times to share the Good News of Jesus Christ with those who have not yet heard. Being located in the very remote and mountainous region of Nepal did not stop the children in Grace Nepal Programs from sharing the true meaning of Christmas with their village neighbors.

In the days leading up to Christmas, these children organized and hosted three days of open-air Christmas programs and invited the surrounding community to join them for the celebrations. The programs included music, singing, dancing, skits, and the presentation of the Gospel message. The children passed out Christian literature to all who attended and enjoyed a “feast” and gift exchange. They were overjoyed to see 29 people from their community respond with decisions for Christ!

Our in-country director of Grace Nepal Programs eagerly shared with us how the children in his program are taking initiative to participate actively in the church, becoming involved in Bible studies, ministry groups, and evangelistic outreaches. We are so privileged to witness this spiritual growth in the lives of these children.

In addition, through the generous extra Christmas gifts we received from sponsors, we were also able to provide new blankets for each child in the program. In the words of our director, the children received “blessings spiritually and physically during Christmas. We would like to give thanks to all our donors and World Help team for your prayers and financial support.”

We also join in to express our sincere gratitude and thanks for your continued support. Sponsorship enables children who might otherwise be in the grips of poverty, to grow and thrive in truly incredible ways. Our focus and passion continues to be that each child in our sponsorship program will come to know Christ personally and to experience His love on a real and powerful level.

Updates like this show how much your gifts matter. Thank you for being a part of something that will outlive you and last for eternity. We praise God for your faithful partnership, support, and prayers.
