Don’t Forget About Your Sponsored Child This Christmas

The much-anticipated Christmas season is upon us and families will soon begin their holiday traditions. For some, we’ve already begun decorating our homes, checking names off our Christmas list; while shops are brimming over with bright Christmas lights and joyful music. It’s a wonderful time of the year!

And as you begin your Christmas festivities, we encourage you to involve your sponsored child in your family’s celebrations and traditions. While many of us look forward to this season of generosity, love, and quality time with family . . . don’t forget your sponsored child is also part of the family.

Whatever your family’s Christmas traditions, take this opportunity to share them with your sponsored child and ask them what traditions they may have in their own villages. But most importantly, take the time to share with them about the best gift of all . . . when God sent His son to change the world forever.

Whether you send a small gift, respond with the special Christmas card you received from us in the mail, or give toward a Christmas celebration in their own country, you can make a huge difference while demonstrating Christ-like love to not only your sponsored child, but to all boys and girls around the world this holiday season.

Sponsorship is truly an investment in a single life . . . providing help for today and hope for tomorrow. Children, just like Kundan, are so grateful for the love and support they receive from their sponsors.

Kundan is now 11 years old, residing in a small village in India. Before he came to live at the children’s home, he experienced tragic circumstances. Sold into hard labor work by his step-parents, Kundan’s childhood was stolen from him. He no longer knew what it was like to play with other children or be cared for in a loving and safe environment. Instead, he worked long and laborious hours in unsafe conditions.

But through the work of God, Kundan was rescued from this situation and given the opportunity to live at the Maru Asha Children’s Home in India. Here, his basic needs are being met, and he has the opportunity to attend school. Kundan can now reclaim his childhood and have hope for a brighter future. Although he is behind in school since he has not yet learned to read and write, he is so grateful for the opportunity and is determined to work hard.

The support he receives at the children’s home is made possible through child sponsorship, and Kundan is grateful for his sponsors and the compassion they have shown him.

This Christmas, he will know he is a part of a loving family.
