Bibles for Iraqi refugees

Bibles for Iraqi refugees

The need: Refugee camps are desperate for Bibles

Conflict in the Middle East has driven thousands of Christians from their homes. When ISIS swept through their nation, many fled, leaving behind everything they owned — including their Bibles. Now, in the camps, they are searching for the reassurance found only in God’s Word.

As more refugees hear the Gospel, new believers are joining mature Christians in the search for Bibles. But these camps are Bible deserts, with so few Bibles per person that finding one is nearly impossible.

Strategy| Bible distribution

Our partners in Iraq are working in the refugee camps assessing needs and distributing Bibles you help provide. But so many refugees still do not own a Bible and our supply is running out. As our partners share the hope that is found in Jesus, they need your help to make sure everyone who wants a Bible receives one.

How you can help

Your gift today will send a Bible to a refugee desperate to find eternal hope that comes only from God’s Word. Every $10 you give sends one Bible to an Iraqi refugee and impacts five refugees with the Word of God. Bibles are often shared among family and friends, so when you give one Bible you are making an even greater impact.

• $10 provides 1 Bible, impacting 5 refugees

• $50 provides 5 Bibles, impacting 25 refugees

• $100 provides 10 Bibles, impacting 50 refugees

Your gift today provides the hope and joy that is so often absent in Iraq’s refugee camps. Refugees have lived in desperation for too long. You can send them hope today by giving a Bible.

Donation Policy: Your gift will be used exclusively for the exempt purposes of World Help, a 501(c)(3) organization, and should qualify as a tax-deductible charitable donation for federal income tax purposes. Gifts are considered to be without restriction unless explicitly stipulated by the donor. If funds are given for a particular project, and they exceed the need of that project, or, if due to unforeseen circumstances, such project, in the reasonable discretion of World Help, cannot be completed, any remaining funds will be used for other outreaches of World Help where they will make the greatest impact. You can access World Help’s full financial reports at worldhelp.net/financials. You may also request a hard copy, as well as descriptions of World Help’s programs, by calling 800-541-6691.
