Hurricane Ida Relief

Hurricane Ida Relief

As you read this, countless people in Louisiana are struggling in the wake of Hurricane Ida, a devastating Category 4 storm.

This storm arrived on the 16th anniversary of Hurricane Katrina and the state is still working to recover from last year’s storms. The situation is dire.

More than 1 million people are without power and the storm has caused widespread destruction. The National Weather Service in New Orleans even reported that the affected area could be uninhabitable for weeks or months.

Your gift can be the first to arrive on the ground after the storm strikes. You can give one person disaster relief like food, clean water, and other essentials. These items are almost impossible to find after a hurricane and they can mean survival for people who have lost everything. Your $50 gift will provide emergency essentials and can help save a life.

·      $50 provides emergency supplies for one person

·      $100 provides emergency supplies for two people

·      $200 provides emergency supplies for four people

Donation Policy: Your gift will be used exclusively for the exempt purposes of World Help, a 501(c)(3) organization, and will be considered tax-deductible to the full extent allowed under the federal tax laws. You should consult with your personal income tax advisor for more guidance about your individual tax situation. Gifts are considered to be without restriction unless explicitly stipulated by the donor. All restricted gifts for a specific project receive an administrative assessment, which is used to offset administrative and fundraising costs. If contributed funds exceed the specific need of a project, or due to unforeseen circumstances the project cannot be completed, those funds will be used where they will make the greatest impact to fulfill the mission and purpose of World Help.
