URGENT: Cyclone Amphan strikes India and Bangladesh

With 100 mph winds, Cyclone Amphan crashed into West Bengal, India, near the Bangladeshi border. On Wednesday morning, it made landfall as a category two hurricane, the largest storm the Bay of Bengal has ever experienced.

Curving north, Cyclone Amphan ripped rooves off houses and killed almost 100 people so far. Now, the storm surges and flooding could destroy more homes and claim more lives.

Though people were sheltering in place due to COVID-19, millions have now fled to escape the storm’s devastation.

But you can help people survive. You can provide emergency aid to people who’ve lost everything. Your $50 can help provide one person with emergency aid like food, clean water, hygiene kits, and more.

The coronavirus has already brutalized South Asia. Now, this storm is wreaking havoc. And in the midst of the coronavirus pandemic, the situation is even worse. People desperately need your help today. Please give $50 to help one person.
