Protection from Zika Virus

Protection from Zika Virus

$125

Zika is a disease caused by the mosquito-borne Zika virus, which usually spreads in tropical regions with large mosquito populations. Although illness is usually short and mild, there is growing concern that Zika virus may be linked to a serious birth defect called microcephaly, and Guillain-Barré syndrome, an autoimmune disorder.

Currently, there is no vaccine or treatment for Zika, and the best way to prevent its spread is to protect against mosquito bites.

For our sponsorship programs and partners in Latin America and the Caribbean, mosquito nets are critical in preventing mosquito bites. This simple preventative measure will offer safety and peace of mind and will help families and communities fight against the spread of Zika.

$125 provides mosquito nets to an entire family
$50 provides mosquito nets for two people
$25 provides a mosquito net for one person
