Uganda – Operation Baby Rescue

<  View All Programs

Uganda

The slums of Uganda are home to millions of orphaned and abandoned children. Half of the population is under the age of 14, and it is estimated that 65 percent—over 11 million—of these children are without parents.

How it Works:

The “baby village” is located on the outskirts of the Kampala slums and has become a refuge for orphaned babies usually abandoned by teen mothers who have themselves been victimized. It is the vision of this program to eventually facilitate adoption for these children so they have the opportunity to grow up in loving homes.
