Throughout the Gospels, Jesus often stopped and thanked His heavenly Father for His blessings.
Even on the night He was betrayed, Jesus took the time to give thanks for the bread they were breaking. Even though He knew His own body was about to be broken, Jesus thanked God for the simple blessing of having food to eat.
