As the two-year anniversary of the war in Ukraine approaches, a non-profit in Lynchburg is highlighting the humanitarian crisis in the country and the needs of the people on the frontlines.
Since the start of Russia’s invasion of Ukraine, a local Christian humanitarian organization, World Help, has sent teams to refugee centers in Romania, Poland, Hungary, and inside Ukraine, to provide aid and shed light on the suffering of millions of people displaced.
World Help has been providing food, clothing, shelter and medicine to centers all across Ukraine, along with resources like mental health care and community, as many from the frontlines have been traumatized and retraumatized since the war began.
