Here are five ways you can pray for your sponsored child today:
1) Pray for your sponsorship child and their family’s relationship with Christ
Sponsorship demonstrates God’s love for a child in need
One of the best things about child sponsorship is that it meets your child’s physical and spiritual needs. Your monthly giving provides them with essentials like nutritious food, clothing, and educational opportunities, but it also gives them the chance to hear about the Gospel!
Often, as children go home to share what they’ve learned, their parents also become interested in learning more about Christ. And if your sponsored child and their family have already accepted Christ as their Savior, you can pray for them to grow in their faith and continue sharing it with those they encounter every day in their communities!
Please pray for the Holy Spirit to speak to and through your sponsored child so they, their families, and their communities experience salvation.

Many of the children in our sponsorship programs come from vulnerable communities. Life in extreme poverty can expose them to dangers like drugs, human trafficking, gang violence, and other trauma at a young age.
Your sponsorship is so important because it reduces the risks that your sponsored child will experience these things and helps break the cycle of poverty, but it’s still important to be in prayer for their protection and safety.
Pray for God to protect your sponsored child physically and spiritually.
3) Pray for your sponsored child’s health

Children around the world in our sponsorship program don’t always have easy access to a doctor when they get sick … and minor sicknesses and injuries can quickly become major problems when not treated properly. Your sponsorship provides for things like basic medical care so that common illnesses and injuries don’t become deadly. However, larger health concerns can still be challenging to treat if there isn’t any affordable treatment nearby.
Pray for your sponsored child to stay strong and healthy. If they become sick, ask God to lead them to a medical professional with the wisdom and discernment to treat them.
4) Pray for our partners as they provide for your sponsored child

When we ask our partners around the world what their greatest need is, the answer is always the same: food. Rising prices and global shortages have left parents struggling to provide their children with even one meal a day.

With an education, your sponsored child will be equipped to chase their dreams and break the cycle of poverty when they grow up!
