Water Transforms Lives
“Water is fundamental for life and health. The human right to water is indispensable for leading a healthy life in human dignity. It is a pre-requisite to the realization of all other human rights.” –United Nations
Give water. Give life.
Water is one of our most basic needs — yet many families around the world don’t have access to it. This is especially a problem in Nepal where harsh terrain and remote locations often make it difficult to reach safe water sources.
Today, a mother in Nepal will have to spend hours collecting water instead of working to provide for her family. A boy will miss another day of school because he is sick from drinking dirty water. And a little girl will lose her fight with a life-threatening disease caused by waterborne bacteria.
But today, you can help us reach our goal of raising $75,000 to provide three deep wells and six shallow wells or water purification systems in Nepal, providing the life-changing gift of clean water to thousands of people.
If we reach our goal of $75,000, we’ll be able to provide …
6 Shallow Wells or Purification Systems $5,000 each
In many areas of Nepal, mountainous terrain and rocky soil make it difficult to dig deep underground. A shallow well or water purification system provides a creative, reliable source of drinking water for an entire community.
3 Deep Bore Wells $15,000 each
In areas where it is possible to dig deeper for underground water sources, a deep bore well is the most sustainable solution available. It will continue to provide clean water for the community for many years to come!
