Hurricane winds are strong enough to destroy even the sturdiest of houses. So imagine the destruction when Irma slammed into the dilapidated infrastructure of Cuba.
The damage is indescribable.
Power is out across the island, and communication is nearly impossible. I’m still waiting to hear from many of our church planters to confirm they are OK. Please pray with me for their safety.
I have been in contact with a few of our partners on the ground who are working nonstop assessing the damage and how best you can help.
Here’s what we’ve learned so far:
• More than 39 buildings collapsed in a city where many of our church planters work.
• Numerous church buildings have been destroyed.
• Countless people are homeless.

“Right now, there is a great need to purchase canned food and bottled water,” one partner reported. “There is no power, so the people can’t cook. That is the greatest immediate need.”
