I had been looking forward to my trip to Cuba for months. Over the past several years, the island nation has experienced incredible social and political change. And in the middle of that change, a rapidly growing and thriving network of local churches had emerged. But since the devastation of last year’s hurricanes, I wondered how the Cuban church was responding.
What I saw and heard inspired me, and I hope it inspires you, too.
During the trip I had the joy of meeting with 250 men and women who are church planters around Cuba. These men and women, like many in Cuba, have very little in terms of physical wealth. But they are rich in faith and perseverance. Despite resistance from others and the ongoing effects of economic challenges, the church in Cuba has continued to grow.
And if you ask these church planters, they’ll tell you this is just the beginning.
For I am about to do something new. See, I have already begun! Do you not see it? I will make a pathway through the wilderness. I will create rivers in the dry wasteland. — Isaiah 43:19 NLT
For years, the people of Cuba have cried out for help and hope — and they are not the only ones in need of immediate relief.
God can use your gift to transform the lives of people in Cuba and beyond.
When you give $30, you help Cuban church planters reach their goal of planting 6,000 more churches. Plus, your gift will provide other life-changing help for people in need around the world.
For $30, you can deliver help and hope to someone who needs it today. You can help show the love of Jesus to some of the most spiritually dark places on earth.
