People in the Bahamas are just starting to realize the full extent of the destruction there as the floodwaters recede. “It’s like a bomb went off,” a local from the Abaco Islands said according to one news report.
At the same time, Hurricane Dorian continued its path of destruction Thursday as it battered the coast of the Carolinas. Damaging winds of over 100 mph left more than 200,000 people without power in South Carolina alone while tornadoes produced by the storm tore through several coastal towns.
We’re working to deliver aid both here in the U.S. and in the Bahamas, but the need is overwhelming. We can’t do it without your help.
Every $50 you give will provide emergency supplies to someone affected by Hurricane Dorian. The greatest needs right now are food, generators, clothing, hygiene kits, and clean water. Your gift will help send these critical items and more.
It’s going to take a team effort to help all of those whose lives have been devastated by this tragedy … and you play a vital role.
Now is the time to respond — to be the hands, feet, and heart of Jesus to victims of Hurricane Dorian. Please give as generously as you can. These families have lost everything, and they are desperate for help.
