Located at the geographical crossroads of Africa, Asia, and Europe, Greece has become an entry point for refugees seeking asylum in Europe, exacerbating an already tenuous economic situation. Border closures have also trapped over 120,000 refugees within Greece’s borders. Unable to work, these refugees have no choice but to live in squalid camps with limited aid supplies — leaving women and children vulnerable to violence and exploitation.
