Making a gift in your will or trust

A bequest, or gift in a will or trust, is one of the easiest ways to support the causes that are important to you. A bequest is generally a revocable gift, which means it can be changed or modified at any time.

You can designate World Help to receive a specific amount or asset, or a percentage of the value of your estate or trust. If you already have a will or trust, your financial advisor can help you update it to include World Help with a codicil or addendum.

The “Planning Your Legacy” guide booklet will help you begin the process of making a bequest in your will or trust.

Sample language to include in your will or trust:

I give, devise, and bequeath (specific amount, specific asset, percentage, or remainder of estate) to World Help, a nonprofit organization located at PO Box 501, Forest, VA, 24551, Federal Tax ID #54-1615454, for World Help’s general use and purpose [or to benefit specific program].

We recommend consulting an attorney for your state’s legal requirements for drafting wills and trusts or updating your existing documents. You can request a free wills guide clicking here.
