Eniola lost everything, including her Bible

Did you know that Nigeria is the seventh most dangerous country in the world to be a follower of Christ?

Terrorist groups like Boko Haram and the Fulani herdsmen kidnap and murder anyone in Nigeria they consider to be their enemies — their number one target being Christians.

But even beyond the violence, life in Nigeria is not easy.

The lasting effects of COVID-19 and the war in Ukraine have caused food and fuel shortages throughout the country. What little food and fuel are available aren’t affordable.

To top it off, rolling blackouts plague the country. The power grid has already collapsed six times this year.

A girl in Nigeria receives a Bible
When you send a Bible to somebody like Eniola, you can impact up to five people with your gift!

Today I want to introduce you to Eniola. She and her family are Christ-followers living under extreme persecution in Nigeria, so I’ve changed her name to protect her.

Eniola told us that she and her family lost everything because of what’s happening in Nigeria — even their Bibles. Even though Eniola and her family are Christ-followers, they were struggling to grow in their faith without access to God’s Word.

As the economic situation continues to worsen, people like Eniola are losing their livelihoods and homes … and losing hope.

Thankfully, generous Bibles for All Ambassadors provided Eniola with a brand new Bible so she could finally hold God’s Word in her hands again.

Eniola said that her hope was restored just by knowing that someone cares. She and her family are excited to grow in their faith by reading the new Bible together.

If you want to become a Bibles for All Ambassador yourself and help put even more Bibles into the hands of people like Eniola, you can click the button below to get started. Your commitment will make sure God’s Word reaches people around the globe every month.
