Hurricane Rafael slammed into Cuba as a Category 3 storm with damaging winds and widespread flooding. The storm also knocked out the country’s power grid and displaced thousands of people.

This storm comes just weeks after Hurricane Oscar swept across eastern Cuba. To make matters worse, two large earthquakes recently struck the southern part of the country, adding to the hardship of residents who have already endured two devastating storms.
