How to put the ‘thanks’ back in ‘Thanksgiving’: A video devotional

“And whatever you do, whether in word or deed, do it all in the name of the Lord Jesus. Giving thanks to God the Father through him” – Colossians 3:17 (NIV)

Thanksgiving is only a few short days away … which means it’s time to start finalizing plans!

Will you be serving turkey or ham? Are there enough burners on the stove to cook the stuffing, mashed potatoes, cranberry sauce, and everything else?  And most importantly, who will be bringing dessert?

Then, once Thanksgiving is over, it’s time to start Christmas shopping. Where will you go for the big Black Friday deals? What do you need to bookmark on your computer for Cyber Monday?

You see, we get so wrapped up in the chaos that we often forget the most important part of the holiday — to be grateful.

Watch this short devotional from World Help president Noel Brewer Yeatts on putting the thanks back in Thanksgiving:

One great way to practice showing gratitude is by blessing other people with the resources God has given you. You can use your blessings to be a blessing to others.

Right now, people in need are desperately waiting for someone like you to send them help and hope.

And you can transform a life today by sending them the lifesaving aid they need to survive.
