Cultivating artistic talents

Your sponsorship provides important essentials like healthy food, medical care, and educational tutoring. But it also helps provide opportunities for your sponsored child to explore potential creative talents. All of the children in the program get to attend art classes at the center, where they can learn about various techniques and materials each week. Recent art projects have included paper crafts, pottery, and making fun, festive hats for the children to wear.

A day of celebration

Because of you, your sponsored child also has the chance to celebrate special moments in life. In August, the children celebrated Indian Independence Day. During the festivities, the children took part in sports competitions, sang, danced, and performed skits. These activities help the boys and girls learn life skills including self-confidence, teamwork, and leadership. Several of the children were given medals to commemorate their performance.

December was a fun month!

December was a packed month for your sponsored child. The kids attended an adventure camp where they played games, explored the outdoors, braved a ropes challenge course, and grew closer together as a group. And, of course, one of the highlights of the month for all the kids was Christmas! They enjoyed singing carols, eating special treats, decorating, and sharing gifts with one another. It was certainly an unforgettable time that you helped make possible.
