What does it mean to be an ambassador?

Kelsey Campbell

“We are therefore Christ’s ambassadors, as though God were making his appeal through us. We implore you on Christ’s behalf: Be reconciled to God.”

— 2 Corinthians 5:20, NIV

On any political drama you watch on television, somewhere in the season, there’s always an ambassador from another country who is called upon to be a mediator … a liaison. Their job is to smooth over conflicts and help make relationships right again.

Did you know Jesus calls us to be ambassadors of the Gospel?

After we find salvation, we’re instructed to tell others about how they can have a right relationship with Jesus, too. It’s our job to tell them that their sin doesn’t have to keep them in eternal conflict with God because he offered His Son to reconcile us to Him.

We’re reconciled to reconcile. That’s what ambassadors of Christ are called to do. But how do we practically live it out?

By sending Bibles to people all around the world. And today, you can fulfill that calling by becoming a Bibles for All Ambassador.

Bibles for All Ambassadors are passionate supporters who give each month to send copies of God’s Word to people who have never owned one before.

Here’s how you can get started:

  1. 1. Choose how many Bibles you want to send

Most Bibles for All Ambassadors choose to give $25 a month to provide five people with God’s Word. Of course, you can always give more and provide even more Bibles each month. Or if a $25 gift just doesn’t fit into your budget right now, you can give $15 to provide three Bibles and still make an incredible impact.

How?

Because most people are likely to share their new Bible with friends and family, which means one Bible can go on to touch at least five people’s lives.

  1. 2. Receive monthly updates from around the world

For every month that you help provide Bibles as a Bibles for All Ambassador, you’ll be sent an update about a person and a part of the world you helped reach with God’s Word. You’ll learn about someone whose life has been reconciled to Christ because of a gift of a Bible.

These inspirational stories will help you see just how your giving is transforming lives and winning people to Christ every single month.

  1. 3. Watch your impact add up

Sending five Bibles may not seem like much at first. But think of this — if you give $25 each month, you will have sent 60 Bibles around the world in a year.

And since each Bible is shared with around five people, that means you will have impacted 300 people with the Gospel!

Every Christian is called to be an ambassador for Jesus Christ while we’re here on earth. We’re supposed to share the Gospel with others every single day. And what better way to spread the Gospel to all nations than to give Bibles to countries like Cuba, China, India, North Korea, Syria, Jordan, and more?

You’ll be shining a light in some of the world’s most spiritually dark countries.

Will you answer this call today and become an ambassador for Christ?
