Thank you for supporting the Children of the World International Children’s Choir throughout 2018.
Whether you attended a concert at your church, hosted some of the children in your home, or simply prayed for them as they traveled on tour, you played a part in helping the choir impact people’s lives.
In May 2018, the choir wrapped up another successful tour, giving team leaders Keith and Kayla just a few months to rest and prepare for a new group of kids to arrive.
During the summer, the choir faced several setbacks as some of the children ran into delays getting their visas and other paperwork approved. Across the country, prayers were going up that these issues would be worked out and the children would be able to arrive on time. Many of you prayed with us — and we want to say a special thank you for that.
Your prayers were answered, and all the children arrived in the fall more ready than ever to get started!
After quickly learning their songs, the Children of the World hit the road to raise awareness about childhood poverty and the refugee crisis around the country.
They sang and danced in Virginia, Nebraska, and 27 other states in between — plus Washington, D.C.!
They loved seeing the White House and the other famous monuments on the Washington Mall. Some of the other highlights on tour included visiting the Lincoln Park Zoo, bouncing and rock climbing at a trampoline park, and writing letters to their sponsors to let them know that they were in the U.S.
But all of the children agree that one of the best parts of what they do is getting to help other children all around the world.
Through their concerts, the Children of the World choir helped connect 1,267 boys and girls with sponsors here in America.
They also shined a light on how the global refugee crisis is especially hard on children, inspiring concert attendees to donate the funds to provide lifesaving help to many refugees!
Thank you to those who attended Children of the World events and gave generously to help meet urgent needs. You have helped rescue kids from poverty and helped children survive even when they were forced to leave their homes and everything else behind.
Every gift you gave, every concert you attended, and every kind word you sent the choir’s way was an incredible encouragement to these children. Your support reminds them that even though they are young, they still have the power to make an incredible difference in the world … a difference that will outlive them and last for eternity.
And by standing by them, you are making a lasting, global impact, too!
