Your generosity has transformed entire communities. Not only did you meet immediate needs, you also paved the way for relationship building and community development.

Because of you, World Help was able to ship containers filled with desperately needed provisions to Guatemala, Honduras, Peru, Cuba, Haiti, Uganda, Zimbabwe, Jordan, and Iraq.

HAITI

A container filled with food shipped to needy children and families in Haiti. This is significant because it’s the first time World Help shipped a container to Haiti programs … and it’s all because of you.

The food was used in the Rescue Program as well as to help children with disabilities. Because of your investment, families received food their hungry children urgently needed. Your kindness literally meant lives were saved … lives such as Love Jennika’s.

Once malnourished, Love received critical care from the Rescue Program in Haiti and is now back home with her family. Life has been a struggle for her father as the sole provider for his six children since her mother’s recent death. But the food you helped send was an answer to prayer for this family.

“They are one of the most poor and vulnerable families I know,” our partner said. “The dad is doing his best raising the kids but needs help. They are so appreciative.”

CUBA

For decades, economic blockades and red tape have prevented large shipments of aid from reaching Cuba’s shores. But as relations between the U.S. and Cuba thaw, new doors of opportunity have opened.

And because of your generosity, earlier this year, World Help shipped our first-ever container to Cuba!

This is a milestone for the Cuban people — soon, they may finally be able to receive supplies they have been waiting on.

The container you helped send included office furniture and mattresses. The mattresses were distributed to families and were used to furnish a seminary. Just imagine receiving something as simple as a new mattress when the ability to purchase one is completely out of reach! The office furniture was given to Christian ministries throughout Cuba that could not afford to furnish their office spaces.

“Cuba has never been more open to the Gospel and the practical love of Jesus than it is today,” according to World Help’s director of humanitarian aid. “After many years of closed doors, being able to now come alongside Cuban Christians and help meet the physical needs of the Cuban people is one of the biggest accomplishments of World Help. It is why we exist and why we are committed to providing help and hope to the hardest-to-reach places.”
