As the battle to liberate Mosul continues into its third month, millions of refugees across the Middle East are anxiously waiting for the news that ISIS’ last major stronghold has fallen and they are one step closer to returning home.

Until that day comes, though, the refugees must focus their attention on another fight: the fight to survive. For many, this struggle has been going on for years … but you have provided them with the tools they need to keep fighting, to keep living.

The refugees have no idea how much longer their fight may be. What they do know is that someone across the ocean cared enough to send them exactly what they needed in their time of crisis. That assurance is helping keep their hope alive.
