Buds is a shy young boy, but he quickly comes out of his shell when playing basketball with his friends. Recognizing the value of an education, he works hard in school and especially enjoys his science class. When Buds grows up, he hopes to continue his education to become a mechanical engineer.
Buds has lived in poverty his entire life. Both of his parents work long hours as farmers to earn a limited income, but even combined, it is not enough to support their three children. Despite their best efforts, Buds often goes without basic needs. Sponsorship will provide Buds with things like nutritious meals and educational assistance.

Why sponsor a child?
“Child sponsorship is very rewarding because you know you're making a difference for that child. But the blessing you will receive far surpasses even the difference you make in the children's lives. You will see God at work!”
— Lita, Kentucky
“Sponsoring two little girls from Guatemala has changed the way I see life. As Christ-followers, we are called to love God and love others. I believe that we love God through loving others, and child sponsorship gives us the opportunity to do that.”
— Kayla, Virginia
“I believe child sponsorship is a way to touch the future. It's important to invest in the next generation, both here and around the world.”
— Margaret, California
