Her father died in a car accident in 2015, leaving her mother alone with four children. Janets grandmother now works petty jobs to help care for the children, but they still often struggle to have enough.

When Winnies not in school, she likes to play with her friends. One day, she hopes to become a lawyer and fight for justice. Winnies life has already been greatly impacted by poverty and tragedy. Her mother died very soon after she was born, so Winnies father had to raise her alone. Although he works very hard as a peasant, he often struggles to afford even basic needs.

Robinson is a friendly, cheerful boy who enjoys playing soccer with his friends and learning new skills. At school, he loves to draw and color pictures, and someday he thinks he might want to become a doctor so that he can help the sick in his village. Robinsons parents work as a petty traders in their village, but usually must survive on less than one dollar day. Despite their hard work, they cannot afford basic necessities.

A curious and energetic little boy, Hannington loves to play soccer with his friends in his free time. Eager to learn new things in school, he works hard to earn good grades and excels in his art class. With a passion to help those who are hurting, Hannington dreams of becoming a doctor. Hannington is no stranger to poverty. His father works as a peasant and often earns a meager and unreliable salary. Since his mother stays at home to tend to household responsibilities, she cannot offer any additional revenue. Without assistance, Hannington will be unable to achieve his goals.

Blessings calm, quiet strength is something many people notice about her right away. With a sweet personality, she can often be found singing as she goes to school or her home. Blessings favorite subject is art because she likes to draw beautiful and creative pictures. Blessing is still very young, but she has already felt the effects of poverty. Her father works hard as a petty trader, but often the money he makes is enough for food and nothing else. He has no money to pay for his children to go to school and cant even afford durable clothing.

Cyrus loves to play with his friends. An active boy, he likes the parts of school where he can be creative, like in his art classes. Cyrus is also a lover of music. With a compassionate heart, he hopes to one day become a doctor and help those who are sick and hurting in his community. Cyrus has been blessed with parents who love him and want to raise him in a Christian environment. His father is a pastor, and while that is a blessing for the community, it means he earns a very minimal income. Oftentimes, he struggles to provide for his familys basic needs.

Hamirah dreams of one day becoming a nurse and helping sick people get better. Although Hamirah is very young, her life has already been affected by poverty. She lives with her grandmother who simply cannot earn enough to take care of her and send her to school to get an education.

She enjoys learning new things and looks up to her older siblings as some of her greatest role models. When she grows up, Pooja would like to become an engineer. Pooja has faced many obstacles in her young life because of poverty. Her parents never had an opportunity to earn an education, so they are limited to working low-paying labor jobs. Frequently, they struggle to afford even the most basic necessities. Sponsorship now gives Pooja access to things like medical care, nutritious food, and educational assistance.
