Honduras child sponsorship program report

Thank you for sponsoring a child in Honduras. Your gift has changed a child’s future forever.

We want to let you know what your sponsored child and other children in the child sponsorship program in Honduras have been up to this year … all because of your compassionate giving.

Education

The staff ensures that each student is equipped to grow in every area of his or her life — physically, spiritually, and academically.

One way this is accomplished is through the new resource classroom equipped with learning materials, diagnostic tests, and early stimulation tools. Here, students can be screened for any learning challenges or disabilities so that every child gets the best, personalized education possible.

In 2017, five students graduated from this program and continued on to college, bringing the total to 12 students currently in college.

Your support has provided your sponsored child with educational opportunities that otherwise would not have been available. The children here come from some of the poorest families in this Honduran community. Their parents literally scavenge a garbage dump to make a living. But because of you, they can pursue an education and their dreams.

Celebration

Your sponsored child and other kids in the program recently enjoyed celebrating Mother’s Day. All of the students’ moms came to the school to see the children perform songs, dances, and Scripture readings.

After the conclusion of the program, they got to enjoy a special meal together. The children loved showing their appreciation and spending a little extra time with their mothers.
