We want to let you know what your sponsored child and other kids in the program have been up to this year … all because of your compassionate giving.

December: Christmas party

Your sponsorship provides important essentials such as food, medical care, and educational tutoring. But it also helps your sponsored child celebrate special moments in life. In December, the kids in the program enjoyed a Christmas party. They listened to stories, watched a skit, and danced. They were even able to eat a special Christmas cake with their friends.

Your support allowed these kids to celebrate the holiday with a party and treats, a refreshing break from life in the slums. “It was a happy time for our children,” the center director said.

April: Field day

During April, the kids participated in a fun field day. They played games, learned new songs with hand motions, and enjoyed spending time outdoors. The sun was shining, and it was a beautiful day for the children to have some adventures and make some memories that will last a lifetime.

The center staff said the kids were glad for a break from their normal daily routine. They also developed teamwork and critical thinking skills during the games and activities.

June: Adventure Camp

Many of the older children in the program took part in a summer adventure camp in June. They participated in team-building and puzzle-solving challenges and even enjoyed some friendly competition throughout the week.

The camp also fostered maturity and development of leadership skills. Some of the kids had the opportunity to speak and share their musical talents in front of their peers, and many talked about their educational and personal goals for the future.
