Help ship lifesaving supplies around the world
You can play a vital role in sending help to people in need worldwide. World Help receives more than 1 million pieces of donated clothing, medical equipment, packages of food, and other lifesaving aid each year. But these supplies must be counted, sorted, and packed in our distribution center in Forest, Virginia, before they can be shipped to the people waiting for them. That’s why volunteers like you are essential!
On average, every hour you volunteer helps ship $2,773 worth of aid and impacts 131 people!
- Sorting and counting clothes and shoes by size and type
- Preparing and testing medical equipment
- Assembling hygiene and emergency kits
- Packaging and labeling boxes of relief supplies
- Loading and unloading trucks
Please email volunteers@worldhelp.net for more information or to sign up to volunteer.

Child sponsorship volunteer
Volunteers in this position help sort and process mail between sponsors and their sponsored children. Kids love receiving letters and cards from their sponsors, so this job helps bring boys and girls around the world a lot of joy! Volunteers may also help with writing thank you notes and reporting back to donors in other ways. Note: this is a seasonal position available November through January and again from March through May.
