Project Update

Africa Africa

In 2014 alone, you reached hundreds of children through these projects. We saw the completion of seven Homes of Hope this past year alone. These projects are now making a positive and life-changing impact on boys and girls in desperate need . . . providing a safe environment and restored hope. This is all a direct result of your compassion and generosity.

Homes of Hope provide children with a nurturing environment where they can experience greater overall health and well-being. The children have greater opportunity than ever before and are thriving in their daily lives and education. At these homes, they receive an opportunity for a continuing education, nutritious meals, basic resources, and ultimately a safe place to call home. Your support is truly making an eternal difference!

One of our partners in Uganda recently shared stories of a couple girls who are benefiting from Homes of Hope:

The girls at one of our Destiny Homes of Hope in Kampala, Uganda, are being raised by a godly couple. Every night, they have the girls pray to their Heavenly Father before bed . . . their influence has helped them cultivate a strong relationship with the Lord. The children expressed how grateful they are to receive all the basic necessities they need while receiving the loving support of their house parents.

Sarah Nantongo is seven years old and recently shared how thankful she was to also have the opportunity to socialize with other children her own age. “I am so happy to belong to this home because I have made friends that I play with,” Sarah said.

Nine-year-old Rosette Namisinga came from an abusive household before she came to live at the home. She lived in such fear of her father, that for a while she even experienced some medical issues from the stress. Now, Rosette lives without fear and knows her house parents love and support her. “I am so happy to belong to this home because I am secure, peaceful, and I sleep on my own mattress,” she said.

These girls’ stories show the impact Homes of Hope is making in their lives and the lives of many others. Through your efforts and the faithful work of our partners, we are providing help for today and hope for tomorrow for children in need. These homes provide the resources they need to protect them from the harsh conditions of living on the streets and, ultimately, empower them to break the cycle of poverty and build a brighter future.

Thank you for your support of our Homes of Hope project and your passion to invest in the lives of future generations in Africa. You are truly investing in these children’s future and making a life-changing difference.
