Homes of Hope

Homes of Hope
At the height of the HIV/AIDS epidemic in Africa, World Help began building Homes of Hope to cope with the growing number of children orphaned by this devastating disease. An entire generation of child-headed households contributed to an already toppling family system. These homes became symbols of hope to scared children living without love, structure, education, or care.
Today, more than 15 million children in sub-Saharan Africa have lost their parents to AIDS — making Homes of Hope more relevant than ever. By giving to build a Home of Hope, you provide a vulnerable child with a family-style living arrangement, the security of a loving community, and a safe haven while they grow.
