Your 2018 impact: Meeting spiritual needs

The people walking in darkness have seen a great light; on those living in the land of deep darkness a light has dawned. (Isaiah 9:2, NIV)

The light of the Gospel always breaks through the darkness to transform lives.

And because of your generosity, people living in spiritually dark countries like Cuba, Syria, and Rwanda now have access to the Gospel through church plants and copies of God’s Word.

You even helped reached the goal to provide 100,000 Bibles to North Korean Christians! Thank you for helping make this possible. Now persecuted believers will have the comfort of Scripture and seekers can read about salvation through Christ for themselves.

While all our programs have a spiritual component, Bible distribution and church planting are particularly important for reaching people with the Good News. By supporting these efforts, you helped meet the spiritual needs of people in 2018. You have made a truly incredible impact!

Countries like Cuba, which were once isolated from the rest of the world, are now more open to the Gospel than ever before. A revival is happening, and your generosity has helped fan the flames. People are desperate to learn more about Jesus Christ. And by supporting church planting across this nation, you have helped new believers deepen their relationship with God this year.

In impoverished Guatemala, many families are too poor to buy a Bible. But thanks to you, people hungry for God’s Word now have the Bread of Life.

“Our hearts and faces are filled with joy, and we are very grateful to all the brothers and sisters for giving us the opportunity to have at our fingertips the Holy Word of God,” one Guatemalan pastor said after receiving Bibles for his community.

Throughout Asia, your gifts have helped church planters reach more of their neighbors and grow their churches. Lives like Vishnu’s are being transformed because of gifts like yours.

Vishnu, whose name we’ve changed for privacy, is from a small village in Asia. She was suffering from many different physical ailments when she first received a visit from one of the church planters you help support. He was able to share God’s Word with her and pray for her healing. Soon after, Vishnu was completely well!

“The Lord completely healed her,” the church planter said. “Today, she and her entire family have come to the saving knowledge of Jesus Christ. Hallelujah!”
