It’s hard to know how to help, especially when we know so little about what exactly goes on behind the closed borders of this most secretive nation on earth.
But we serve a God who knows all.
He knows each atrocity taking place inside North Korea’s notorious labor camps. He feels the pain of the believer facing persecution. And He sees into the heart of the government official who is starting to question, “Why would someone risk his life for this Jesus?”
While we may not be able to be there in North Korea supporting our brothers and sisters, we can pray to the God who is.
Will you unite with us and other believers across America to pray for God’s will to be done in the most persecuted country in the world?
Trust me, prayer helps.
You can start by praying this simple prayer today.
Dear Heavenly Father,
Even though my brothers and sisters in North Korea have to pray and worship in secret, I know You see them and hear them.
I pray that today believers’ hearts will be filled with peace, being assured that YOU are there with them, even in the darkest times.
Help them to remain bold in their faith, willing to share the Gospel with others and attend underground church services even though it is risky.
For those longing for a Bible, I pray that they are able to receive one soon as You move generous Christians to give. I ask for Your protection over those brave men and women who smuggle in copies of Your Word so that North Koreans can read it for the first time.
Dear Lord, I also want to pray for hearts to change among the government officials of North Korea. I pray for the release of those 70,000 or more Christians imprisoned in labor camps for their faith. But, if it’s not in Your will for them to be released, I pray You give them courage and strength, knowing they have a promised reward in heaven.
I pray that more and more North Koreans will come to know you as Lord and Savior, because You are the ultimate source of peace.
Lastly, I pray that You’ll open my eyes to how I can help my brothers and sisters in North Korea — whether by giving financially, informing others about this great need, or in some other way.
In Jesus’ name I pray,
Amen.
In addition to praying, one of the most powerful ways you can help Christians in North Korea is by giving Bibles. It’s the one thing they continually ask for — our partners can’t keep up with the demand!
All it takes is $10 to print, ship, and secretly distribute one Bible to a North Korean.
And right now, thanks to a generous matching gift, your donation will be DOUBLED. So, your $10 will send TWO Bibles to North Korea instead of one.
Please pray for North Korea and help give Bibles to a believer or seeker today.
