He said, “Throw your net on the right side of the boat and you will find some [fish].” When they did, they were unable to haul the net in because of the large number of fish – John 21:6
Most of us have heard the tale of Jesus’s disciples going fishing. They labored day in and out, trying to catch food to eat. But they caught nothing. When Jesus came and told them to cast their nets to the other side of the boat, though, the nets were overflowing with fish.
At first glance, you may have a hard time relating to this story personally … unless you’re a fisherman.
But in the short devotional below, World Help President Noel Brewer Yeatts shares how you may have been casting your metaphorical net to the wrong side of the boat.
When you turn to God instead of the world to find your satisfaction, you’ll receive everything you could possibly need and more!
And you’ll want to share your abundant blessings with others as well.
One way you can do that is by donating to feed starving families who can’t afford the skyrocketing prices of food or meet another urgent need around the globe. Any amount you are able to give will make a tremendous difference because, right now, all gifts to help where needed most will DOUBLE thank to a $25,000 matching gift.
