On Aug. 4, a massive explosion in Beirut, Lebanon, killed more than 200 people, injured over 5,000, and left as many as 300,000 people homeless. This is another devastating blow for a country already suffering from a crippling economic crisis and the fallout of the coronavirus pandemic.

The blast took place just two miles from a preschool for refugee children run by World Help partners. Our staff recently had the opportunity to talk over Zoom with these partners in Lebanon. They described what it was like to experience the explosion firsthand and shared how your gifts are helping them respond to the crisis.
