Own is an active little boy who loves to ride his bike and play soccer with his friends. He looks forward to going to school each day and has taken a particular interest in math class. When he grows up, Own hopes to pass down his passion for learning by becoming a teacher.
Own is no stranger to poverty. His parents spend long hours finding odd jobs wherever they can. With a small and inconsistent income, the family struggles to make ends meet, and Own often goes without his basic necessities. Sponsorship will provide Own with things like nutritious meals and a quality education.

Continue giving monthly or annually to meet your child's needs and write letters to stay in touch

Why sponsor a child?
“Child sponsorship is very rewarding because you know you're making a difference for that child. But the blessing you will receive far surpasses even the difference you make in the children's lives. You will see God at work!”
— Lita, Kentucky
“Sponsoring two little girls from Guatemala has changed the way I see life. As Christ-followers, we are called to love God and love others. I believe that we love God through loving others, and child sponsorship gives us the opportunity to do that.”
— Kayla, Virginia
“I believe child sponsorship is a way to touch the future. It's important to invest in the next generation, both here and around the world.”
— Margaret, California
