Ornella may be a shy little girl, but she really comes out of her shell when she gets to sing or play soccer with her close friends. She looks forward to going to school each day and enjoys her French language class. When Ornella grows up, she dreams of becoming a teacher.
Unfortunately, Ornella’s father passed away. Her mother tries to provide for her children alone, but it’s difficult on her small income. She earns $1 a day for cultivating crops for other farmers. Despite her efforts, it’s not enough to provide for Ornella’s most basic needs.

Why sponsor a child?
“Child sponsorship is very rewarding because you know you're making a difference for that child. But the blessing you will receive far surpasses even the difference you make in the children's lives. You will see God at work!”
— Lita, Kentucky
“Sponsoring two little girls from Guatemala has changed the way I see life. As Christ-followers, we are called to love God and love others. I believe that we love God through loving others, and child sponsorship gives us the opportunity to do that.”
— Kayla, Virginia
“I believe child sponsorship is a way to touch the future. It's important to invest in the next generation, both here and around the world.”
— Margaret, California
