Christa is a quiet, helpful girl who comes out of her shell when she gets to sing. In fact, she even has dreams of becoming a professional singer when she grows up! Christa works hard to earn good grades in school and especially enjoys learning to read and write.
Christa has lived in poverty her entire life. Her mother is a seamstress, and her father works as a watchman. Despite their hard work, the small income they earn often isn’t enough to provide Christa with her basic necessities, including an education.
