Meet Dorcus

ID: RWASTW101

Dorcus is a sweet girl who likes to play with her friends. She looks forward to going to school each day and particularly likes her reading class. When she grows up, Dorcus dreams of becoming a teacher so she can work with the children in her community.

Dorcus has lived in poverty her entire life. She lives at home with her two parents and four siblings. For work, her mother sells vegetables, and her father is a driver. Sadly, with their small income, they can’t afford to provide Dorcus with her basic necessities. Your sponsorship will now provide Dorcus with essentials like nutritious meals and a quality education.

“Child sponsorship is very rewarding because you know you're making a difference for that child. But the blessing you will receive far surpasses even the difference you make in the children's lives. You will see God at work!”

— Lita, Kentucky

“Sponsoring two little girls from Guatemala has changed the way I see life. As Christ-followers, we are called to love God and love others. I believe that we love God through loving others, and child sponsorship gives us the opportunity to do that.”

— Kayla, Virginia

“I believe child sponsorship is a way to touch the future. It's important to invest in the next generation, both here and around the world.”

— Margaret, California
