Confidence is one of Shamirah?s defining traits. She is a natural leader among her friends and enjoys taking charge. Shamirah does well in school, and she really looks forward to her art class. Being a nurse is her dream job, and she hopes to do well in school so that she can achieve that goal. Shamirah has struggled with poverty and rejection many times in her life. Her parents left her to the care of her grandmother when she was still a baby. Sadly, Shamirah?s grandmother earns very little and cannot afford school fees and supplies. Sponsorship will now provide Shamirah with things like nutritious food, durable clothing, and a continuing education.
