Allen is a humble, cheerful young girl who loves to help her mother around the house. She is very musical and enjoys singing at home and at school. Someday, Allen hopes to use her love of English to become a teacher in her village with a classroom of her own. Allen?s father works hard every day doing odd jobs and day labor in their village. Her mother, unable to find work, maintains the home. Allen?s father is not able to make enough money to sustain the family and afford extra costs like education for his five children. Through sponsorship, Allen will receive things like nutritious meals and a continuing education.

Why sponsor a child?
“Child sponsorship is very rewarding because you know you're making a difference for that child. But the blessing you will receive far surpasses even the difference you make in the children's lives. You will see God at work!”
— Lita, Kentucky
“Sponsoring two little girls from Guatemala has changed the way I see life. As Christ-followers, we are called to love God and love others. I believe that we love God through loving others, and child sponsorship gives us the opportunity to do that.”
— Kayla, Virginia
“I believe child sponsorship is a way to touch the future. It's important to invest in the next generation, both here and around the world.”
— Margaret, California
