Harriet is a quiet girl with a love for all things artistic and creative. She can often be found reading, with her favorite book to read being the Bible. She is also working hard to do well in school. She knows an education is important if she wants to become a nurse someday and help the sick people in her community.
Harriet is no stranger to poverty. Harriet lives with her parents and her three older sisters. Her mom and dad do their best to provide for the family, but they make only a small income from their work as farmers. They rarely make enough to afford everything their kids need. Sponsorship will provide Harriet with essentials like nutritious meals and a quality education.

Why sponsor a child?
“Child sponsorship is very rewarding because you know you're making a difference for that child. But the blessing you will receive far surpasses even the difference you make in the children's lives. You will see God at work!”
— Lita, Kentucky
“Sponsoring two little girls from Guatemala has changed the way I see life. As Christ-followers, we are called to love God and love others. I believe that we love God through loving others, and child sponsorship gives us the opportunity to do that.”
— Kayla, Virginia
“I believe child sponsorship is a way to touch the future. It's important to invest in the next generation, both here and around the world.”
— Margaret, California
