Matthias is a quiet little boy who loves to spend time on the soccer field with his friends. He also enjoys going to school each day and especially likes learning about the Bible. In fact, it is his favorite book to read. Matthias hopes to become a pilot when he grows up so he can travel the world.  

Matthias is no stranger to poverty. Matthias’ parents work as farmers, but most of the crops that they grow are used for meals at home, so there is rarely any left over to sell as a source of income. Because of this, the family often struggles to make ends meet. Through sponsorship, Matthias will receive things like nutritious meals, durable clothing, and a quality education.
