Leon is a serious little boy who is all business when it comes to his schoolwork, even at his young age. He especially likes learning about words in his literature class. He also loves to play soccer outside with his friends. When he grows up, Leon wishes to travel the world and become a pilot.
Leon is all too familiar with poverty. He comes from a large family and is the youngest of six boys. His parents work hard to provide for their sons, but they only make a very small income from their work as farmers. Every day is a struggle to make ends meet. Sponsorship will provide Leon with things like nutritious meals and a quality education.

Why sponsor a child?
“Child sponsorship is very rewarding because you know you're making a difference for that child. But the blessing you will receive far surpasses even the difference you make in the children's lives. You will see God at work!”
— Lita, Kentucky
“Sponsoring two little girls from Guatemala has changed the way I see life. As Christ-followers, we are called to love God and love others. I believe that we love God through loving others, and child sponsorship gives us the opportunity to do that.”
— Kayla, Virginia
“I believe child sponsorship is a way to touch the future. It's important to invest in the next generation, both here and around the world.”
— Margaret, California
