An active girl with a friendly personality, Mary loves playing with her friends and singing her favorite songs. She works hard to get good grades in school and has taken a special interest in learning to read and write. When Mary grows up, she hopes to become a nurse. She wants to be able to help the people in her community. 

Mary’s parents are hard working farmers. They tried their best to provide for her, but they eventually decided to send her to her aunt’s house for a better life.
